Our churches are popular for Akaroa weddings.  Many people consider having a wedding in Akaroa or in one of our other Banks Peninsula churches because of their beautiful setting or due to family associations with the area.  There are a number of local businesses specialising in weddings and several establishments which offer hospitality and cater for wedding receptions.

To arrange a wedding please email the vicar with possible dates.  A wedding form will then be emailed to you with the fee structure and other details.  The vicar will normally take the service, however it may be possible to have another ordained minister if people are actively involved in a church elsewhere.

Marriage preparation normally involves several interviews and a rehearsal in the church on the day before the wedding.
